I dont know who to love, fuck, and or stay away from. - All things thought by a man named Templeton, played with a gental realism by Terry Wanye. He is the PREVERTERE.
Watch as Templeton navigates his way through three very twisted and passionate, powerful performances by three outstanding woman:
Antonella Ponziani, best know for her role in Fredrico Fellini's Intervista. She also won an Italian Oscar at the age of 28. Antonella brings an intense presents to the role of "Shelly". A woman so desperate for love she will believe anything.
Along the way, Tempelton finds himself at the door of "Irene," played with hope and beauty by Pollyanna McIntosh. Her performance displays a woman who is perfectly caught in the middle of the road. Happily stuck in her love game cycles.
But the one that Tempelton can't get away from is perhaps the love of his life, "Jo-anne," played with love by Rose Rossi. Daughter to Leo Rossi, She brings the perfect mixture of cute and sexy that every man dreams about in a woman.
Tempelton has a lot on his mind and a lot of decisions to make. Sometimes you have to show your dirty side before you can fall in love.
An emotional comedy with strange truth, Prevertere offers a relatable look into booty calls and love with laughs made to feel.
Filmmaker’s Notes by Writer/Director Brian McGuire
What happened to the great spirit of independent films of the 90's gone?
When I was a young man watching the wonderful films of Jim Jarmusch, Richard Linklater, and Todd Solondz and i felt like i found a true display of the world. At the time i was not the only one. who felt this way either.
Watching Seymore Cassel dance his magic around steve Buscemi in Alexzandre Rockwell's In The Soup, or the meandering directionless dialogue of Slacker, OR the odd slow building pacing of Down By Law made me feel cool for even watching these movies. They spoke to me and inspired me. I knew as I grew up making movies mostly as an actor, that when my day came to write and direct movies, i would try to embody the spirited of such films.
Prevertere is our attempt to tell a story that is relatable in an emotional and humorous way. This is the story of a perverts quest for love. Our hero, Templeton, is a lost, scared, sexual, and an emotional time bomb in need of defusing. He encounters three woman who may not be any better off then he is.
We have all been here before in some shape or form. Man or Woman, Prevertere is your story.
I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I do.
